Restorative Solutions CIC receives award for RJ services

Restorative Solutions CIC, who deliver Restorative Justice Services on behalf of Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner, has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM) by the Restorative Justice Council (RJC).

The Restorative Justice Service, which is delivered in partnership between Restorative Solutions and Lincolnshire Police, has been given the RSQM award to acknowledge the delivery of good quality, safe and sustainable restorative services that meet the six Restorative Service Standards.

Marc Jones, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire, said: “No one chooses or wants to be a victim and we are all working hard to reduce the number of people impacted by crime. But those people who are victims deserve the best possible service to help them cope with, and recover from, the experience.

“The service our RJ Team provides helps victims of crime with the process of understanding and coming to terms with crimes committed against them.  It’s a prestigious award and I am delighted their hard work has been recognised. It is well deserved.”

Restorative Solutions’ Service Delivery Manager for Lincolnshire, Suzanne McLardy, said:

“Gaining the RSQM is a real achievement for all of our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to support victims through the restorative justice process. We work with a range of commissioners across the country and this award demonstrates to them that we deliver a high-quality service.

“Completing the RSQM presented a real opportunity for us to highlight our existing work while also offering us the challenge we needed to improve our service further through the productive feedback we received from our assessor and the RJC throughout the process.”

The six Restorative Service Standards are based around themes including leadership, strategy, policies and plans, working together, people, training and support, service delivery and users and monitoring, evaluation and performance improvement.

Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:

“I would like to congratulate Restorative Solutions, for successfully completing the RSQM. This is evidence of their ongoing commitment to delivering the highest standards in restorative practice.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality and Restorative Solutions join other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Restorative Solutions also achieved the RSQM award in five other Police areas:

  • Leicestershire
  • County Durham
  • Hampshire
  • Northamptonshire
  • Bedfordshire

Restorative Solutions have also retained their RSQM award in Bradford.
