HMICFRS inspections

In the Summer of 2017, HMIC changed its role, in addition to inspecting Police forces  it took on the inspection of England’s Fire & Rescue Services, assessing and reporting on their efficiency, effectiveness and leadership. To reflect this new role, their  name changed from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) to Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service (HMICFRS).

HMICFRS independently assess police forces and policing activity, from neighbourhood teams to serious crime and the fight against terrorism, in the public interest.

They ask the questions which citizens would ask, and publish the answers in accessible form, using their expertise to interpret the evidence.  They provide authoritative information to allow you to compare the performance of Lincolnshire Police against others, and their evidence is used to drive improvements in the service to the public.

Visit the HMICFRS website.
