David C Forbes

David has worked for Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) in a variety of finance roles for over 35 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of St. Andrews and has been a fully qualified public sector accountant (CIPFA) since 1986.

He joined LCC as a graduate trainee in 1986 having spent a year as a research assistant in the Dept. of Economics at Dundee University. As a trainee at LCC he spent a year on secondment to the then private sector external auditors of the Council working in a range of private sector environments.

During his career with LCC he has headed the Internal Audit team, then the Investment & Treasury Management team and, from 2006 onwards, the whole finance function of the Council. Since 2006 he has been the Deputy Section 151 officer of the Council.

David lives near Lincoln and is married with two sons.
