More than 200 young people and adults came together for an amazing Skate jam in Boson’s Central park.

The event, which took place on Sunday 15 August, saw talent on display from toddlers to adults demonstrating their skills along with demo riders on BMX, skateboards and scooters. Different classes of competitions were held and prizes  that had been donated by Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire Police, among others.

Alan Osborne our Safer Together Co-ordinator for Boston attended the event to highlight the range of activities the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office is involved in.  along with members of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team who were there to raise awareness with young people and adults about responsible alcohol consumption.

Alan said “ It was a pleasure to see so many young people enjoying themselves in a safe and well run event and have the opportunity to talk to people about the issues that concern them in Boston, but not all the comments were negative with many people highlighting what they like about their local area”
