Safer Together Newsletter - June 2023

  • Last Updated: 07-07-2023 at 16:07

Overview

It's been a fairly busy second quarter of 2023. and the Lincolnshire Strong Voices have certainly been busy! Roisin and I ran a group session to the 27th Lincoln Scouts in Thorpe on the Hill. Main Topics raised by the young people were Anti-Social Behaviour and the lack of activities for Young People in the area, Young People using Vapes, and Drinking and Drug Culture. The Core Group have met twice this quarter, they were very lucky to have a session with the We Are With You , Young Person Engagement Team. Rebecca and Yvonne were amazing at speaking and listening too the young people! The LSV got to learn lots of information as well as have their voices heard on what young people in Lincolnshire feel about drug and alcohol misuse.

I also attended the Lincolnshire Show, it was of course very sunny! I spent lots of the day making badges with young people and speaking to them about their feelings on community safety, and what makes their community feel safe, and unsafe.

Preventing Serious Violence in Lincolnshire 2023 Survey

Marc Jones, the Police & Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire and Councillor Patricia Bradwell, the Co-Chair of the Serious Violence Core Priority Group have commissioned a new survey that aims to investigate the views, experiences and ideas of resi-dents across the county, with regard to violence of all kinds and how it might best be prevented. It should only take around ten minutes to complete the survey but the results have the potential to help improve the safety and wellbeing of us all. Please rest assured that the results from the survey will be reported anonymously and there is no obligation to provide any personally identifying details.
